Gamers went nuts for the Nintendo Switch when it was released this year, with worldwide pre-orders off the charts, breaking Nintendo’s sales records in the US. The hand-held console received rave reviews for its flagship game, “Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” hailed as easily one of the best games ever created. Better still, it’s simple enough for non-video gamers to enjoy too.

Described as the world’s toughest headphones, these robust, water-resistant wireless headphones from Outdoor Tech come in a cool geometric design and promptly sold out after their Kickstarter-funded release this summer. 3. Lego Boost
It’s Lego Jim, but not as we know it. This new-generation Boost is a robot-making kit that enables kids (OK, adults) to build their own robot plus learn how to code in the process. 4. Under Armour Speedform Velociti
Hailed as the best connected running shoe of 2017 by Men’s Health, this lightweight trainer is one of a new-gen batch of Under Armour shoes that tracks your speed and distance, uploading your stats to the brand’s MapMyRun app. They’re the next wave of wearable tech.

5. Amazon Echo
There are plenty of products that have piled on the bandwagon but Amazon Echo is still one of our favorite tech products in 2017. In terms of smart-home devices, it ticks all the boxes – simple, stylish, easy to use, and very useful. You just plug it into a wall and connect it to your WiFi network via the Alexa app and its voice recognition technology will do everything from playing music to ordering you an Uber.
